Uwe Meissner is proud to celebrate the 20th anniversary of ?Modena Motorsport?, based in Langenfeld, Germany. He created an event 10 years ago to welcome his customers, friends and of course Jacky Ickx with whom he enjoys a close friendship.
Over the years Uwe?s annual event has become more and more respected by Ferrari enthusiasts from Germany, Switzerland, The Netherlands, Belgium, Costa Rica, the UK and other countries. The wide range of fine Ferrari automobiles includes superb classics and modern Ferrari street and competition models, also a huge number of Ferrari Formula One cars.
The good relationship with Ferrari S.p.A. enables him to welcome 4-5 official F-1 mechanics that give technical support. Needless to say the international media dispatches their TV crews and motoring writers/photographers to cover this unusual event.
The 2002 version at Spa became even more attractive: a Concours d? Elegance was held and a huge number of really outstanding Ferraris were judged by expert jury members.
Uwe Meissner would be delighted to welcome Ferraristi from all over the world to join the 10th edition of. the ?Modena Motorsport Ferrari Track Days? in 2003.
Special guests will be Jacky Ickx (both days) and F-1 champion Niki Lauda (only Wednesday)

ACT II Concours d?ÿlégance
Location: The famous Nürburgring Formula 1 racetrack
Date: Thursday 24, July 2003
Entries: Deadline to enter your car(s) is 13, July 2003
Concours Guidelines:
Class 1 Fifties road cars
Class 2 Fifties race cars
Class 3 Sixties road cars
Class 4 Sixties race cars
Class 5 Seventies road cars
Class 6 Seventies race cars
Class 7 Single seaters of all ages
Class 8 Special Award of the Jury for the best restoration
Class 9 - 11 Other Special Award?s of the Jury
The above are based on the date that a car was first introduced.
Cars produced before 1950 would fall into classes 1 & 2.
The Concours d?élegance is open to cars manufactured by Ferrari SpA, and the previous names by which the company was known, including both road and race Dino models.
Jacky Ickx, the six-time Le Mans winner, will hand the prizes over to each class winner during the prize-giving to which the media is kindly requested to be present.
Due to time limitations and logistics all Ferraris in the main parking areas and pit garages would be eligible assuming that the owner has completed all the requested details on the entry form.
It will be a purely visual Concours d'élégance, with an emphasis on originality of appearance, specification, and parts fitted. This negates the necessity for the owner to be present to open the car, check operation and functions etc, which would obviously be impractical given the nature of the meeting and time available. It will be assumed that all cars run, as they would have been driven to the circuit, or would be being run on the track.
Similarly due to nature of the Ferrari Track Days and the frequent inclement weather in the area, light road/track soiling will not be taken into account, nor will brake dust on the wheels or carbon deposits in the exhaust system.
REPLICAS AND CONVERSIONS WILL NOT BE JUDGED
Except for competition cars modified in period by an authorised concessionaire.
THE JUDGES DECISION IS FINAL
There will be no verbal or written comments provided to or by any party relative to the results.
Members of the Jury:
Jean-Louis Bezemer (The Netherlands), Andreas Birner (Germany), Keith Bluemel (Great Britain), Marcel Massini (Switzerland), Hillary Raab (USA) and Manfred Lampe Germany/Spain)
ACT III Adventure Tour
Location: The German Eifel
Date: Friday 25, July 2003
Provisional Programme:
The start of the ?Adventure Tour? will be in the parking area of the Nürburgring museum around 9.00 am. The overall distance for the day will be about 180 kilometres (112 miles).
The tour will take you through the magnificent scenic landscape of the Eifel region. We have chosen quiet minor roads winding up and down alongside the river Ahr, passing small villages, pastoral farmland and woodlands. En route there will be a 90 minutes stop at the famous ?Basilica of Maria Laach? and the ?Museum of Natural History? next to the basilica.
The tour will continue back to the river Ahr and the small city of Ahrweiler. After a few kilometres the participants will arrive at the ?Hotel Lochmühle? for a delicious lunch in a nice relaxing atmosphere. A ten-minute walk will take you inside the oldest wine cellar of Germany, where you will enjoy a wine tasting treat, and will have the opportunity to buy some delicious Ahr red wine.
The English language road-book will continue to guide you via the motorway A61 north for about 40 kilometres to ?Frechen-Horrem?. Here the participants will park their cars inside ?Castle Hemmersbach? set in impressive parkland (and a photo-shoot will be arranged). The famous ?Count Berghe von Trips Museum?, just beside the castle, will introduce you to the life and the great achievements of legendary Ferrari driver ?Taffy von Trips?.
The ?Adventure Tour? will finish at about 6.00 p.m. Participants who now wish to travel home will be very quickly at the Belgian and Dutch borders, also the German ?Ruhrgebiet? area is very near. For those who will stay overnight, we will organize a final dinner at Hotel ?Zum Alten Brauhaus? near the museum, while the cars can remain inside the ?Castle Hemmersbach?.
Entry Fee:
The entry fee for this additional day ? 90 per person and includes a snack en route, the lunch, and wine tasting. Hotel room(s) and final diner must be ordered and paid by individual booking, mentioning ?Ferrari Track Days?, but not before you?ve received your personal invitation!
